GOLD CARD eXECUTIVE LODGE

Gold Card Lodge lies comfortably at the lower sides of Namiwawa Township.  It is situated at the north of the City of Blantyre, 5km from the Central Business area (CBA).  The lodge is placed along the dusty Sanjika road, a break away from the Chilomoni ring road, on the benchmarks of the famous Mombo road.

We employ staff with either of the following qualifications:- 
Certificate in Front Office Operations, Certificate in Food and Beverage service, Certificate in Food production, Certificate in Accommodation operations, Certificate in Hotel Management and Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the Malawi Institute of Tourism.

With its Managing Director Mr. Lee Linga Lemani, Gold Card Executive Lodge is run by a well experienced and qualified team.  All the staff members are former students of the Malawi Institute of  Tourism with either Diplomas or Certificates in their fields of specialization who have already gained a vast experience, having worked with big hotels in the past years. 

Tourism Management diploma from Malawi Institute of The Manager, Mr Marthias Nyondo is a holder of a three years Hospitality and Tourism with experience in seemingly similar positions in both Sunbird Group of hotels (Sunbird Kuchawe Inn) and private owned hotels like Hotel Masongola.  You get at Gold Card, you are assured of being in safe hands.

The lodge is an up market facility and also a first choice for small out of town up market conference facilities.  It is also a home for take away meals and outside catering for business leisure.

Gold Card Lodge boasts of 21 ensuite guest rooms, air conditioned with satellite TV, telephones and a comfortable working area.  The lodge also offers room and late check out services to make the guests staying convenient.  The Classic and modern room facilities will undoubtedly exceed your expectations for single, twin or double beds.

For those looking for where to get a delicious and memorable dish, the purpose built Mombo Restaurant is the right solution.  The restaurant serves a wise range of Menus catering for both local and international cuisine.  The presentation of meals is superfluous and the dietary combination of dishes is made to ensure you have a wonderful atmosphere for any occasion.  Every dish at Mombo Restaurant, is tailor made .  Our customers happiness will always remain our pride and joy.  As if the table d’hite, a la Carte, cocktail snacks, lounge snacks, valentine special and set menus served are not enough, the restaurant also serves one of the most nutritious English breakfasts ranging from buffet to the Chefs Griddler.  The hotel door opens at 6.45 am and close down at 10pm.

Our magnificent Time and Place Bar for all developed minds completes it all.  Having not been at Time & Place Bar yet one would  say your entertainment circle  is incomplete.  The bar is filled with a variety of beverages, ranging from Minerals, Carlsberg beers, liqueurs. spirits, whiskies, wines, champagnes and imported beers with modern furniture one cannot find in any bar in town.  Time and Place Bar is spiced up with DSTV and GTV on a Plasma Tv screen.  We have a 100% sports coverage.

The lodge has also an open car park with brick layered floor-and 24 hours security available.

Our future plans  includes: building a conference room with a capacity of up to 300 delegates at once.  We also have plans to increase the number of rooms to 100 using the land we have within the premises.  Plans are also underway to purchase a bus which will be catering for guest transport only.  We are currently working on a business centre which is going to be fully fledged with all the required facilities.   We also have plans to establish a website where all services on offer could be browsed from.  There are plans to upgrade one room to a honey moon suite.
