So You’ve Made It To 2009

Faith – Without it it’s impossible to please God so without it friend, forget it – don’t even bother…What is it – it’s the substance of things …….. for evidence not seen.  It’s a picture of what you desire, it’s a picture of what you want to change so desperately.  Your mind is settled with the fact that it’s possible with God but it has not yet manifest.  So how do I get it?  So what do you do with it?  How do I engage it Tadeyo.  Romans 10:17  Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.  Keep reading the word of God and faith will build up within you with the Holy Spirit speaking to you with promptings and ideas.  Then you act.

My favorite scripture on faith is Hebrews 11:29.  By faith the Israelites passed through the Red Sea on dry ground but when the Egyptians passed through the same Red Sea they drowned.  Why?  Well it’s simple – the Israelites were given the go-ahead from God.  So you see it’s important to hear from God.  Spend time in the spiritual exercise of  fasting and praying.  Mathew 4:4 Man shall not live on bread alone but by every word that proceedeth (that is present continuous) from the mouth of God.  God is continually speaking specifically to you – You must hear and obey Him.  It will profit you; full stop.

Purpose – Actually, I could interchange that word with so many other words along the same line – goals, vision, target etc.  You must have them in order to know your destination and direction.  How will you evaluate yourself if you don’t know where you are and where you are going?  Purpose is what will drive you.  Trust me – if you want something bad enough, you will get it.  Write down your goals.

Knowdge­ ­- I can’t over emphasize this one.  You need to have the knowledge in whatever field you are in, in order to produce excellence.  It’s amazing that before I learnt to play the piano, I thought it was the hardest thing on earth, all those black and white keys! Gosh, how was I to learn all those notes and keys, only to realize its only twelve keys repeated under different pitches.So I got the knowledge and the rest as they say, is history.  Can you tell George Benson it’s hard to learn the guitar?  Sure, on the surface, things look hard so that separation can be made between those that are just fondling with the idea and those that are really serious, trust me if you really want something you will get it - with price – time in learning and practicing .In his book ‘Dream Catchers’ Reverend Richard Lutwama ………says that “Knowledge is getting to know facts first hand. The first step in preparing for your destiny is to acquire knowledge. Whatever field you decide to into, you must as a necessity acquire as much knowledge as available in that specific field. Winners have one thing in common and that is knowledge. They make a deliberate effort to gather as much knowledge as is available so that they all the facts available on an issue.When one ignores knowledge, they make a choice to fail. The world is looking for knowledgeable people so they can tell them where to go and how to get there.”
